What way you are using for the home and business security after the 2A. Because in the most state the gun are ban.So what you are using in that state for security. As there is no best alternate for defense other than a gun.

If you're talking about US states, I know of exactly not one of the 50 in which guns are banned. If you're talking about states as in countries, there are a few, but by no stretch of the imagination is it "most" of them.

Or do what people outside of the U.S. do. We actually don't need firearms to defend ourselves. To my knowledge, no U.S. state has ever banned guns. They don't have the power to, since it relates to Fed. Laws and 2nd Amendment, etc.

My place is full of, (100% legal), weapons. So I get to choose, LoL! I hope it never happens, though.:(

We use large cricket bat! or land mines! maybe chemical as Assad has some to sell cheap!

I agree with the posts that are above as the OP is not clear is what they are trying to portray, legality is a key part of an answer, what can you legally do to protect yourself.

I have the same home security system as Tim. Big dog! :-D

Though mine is not ugly, and only about 65 lbs, she barks VERY loudly when she thinks a stranger is too close to her home, particularly at night. So do the big dogs belonging to my neighbors, who sleep outside at night. Good luck to anyone who wants to sneak into one of our houses... you will need it.

And I collect swords. One of them resides in very easy reach of my bed, right next to my cell phone, just in case some poor bastard manages to get past the dogs and get into the house in the middle of the night.

Me too, Mimsy. Plus bayonets, Bowie Knives, Combat Machetes, axe handles, even medieval Longwords, LoL! And only I know where everything is to the inch, lol. Yes, about big dogs on each side of my house. Hence, my cat never strays, rofl!LOL

Not trying to get too far OT, or HBT, but some states have banned certain guns that are legal in most other states. If you are interested, Google Kali.. er California compliant guns. (the CA bullet button on AR-15's is one of my favorites.) Also, pretty sure NY has 7 round magazine maximum now.

Sweet, love swords. I would like to get a cool old axe. :-D

I use to make swords and armor a lot of hard work. There fun once they are done:-D if you catch my drift.Good for them undead zombies if they ever come knocking at your front door.

Traps are fun as well get your self some of them flash bangs and setup trip wires all around the house. Not only will you scare the crap out of the bad guy but blind them for a few minutes as well.

True. But the OP made it sound like all guns of any kind are banned in most US states. Which is patently untrue, since last I knew the second amendment has not been overturned. ;)

It isn't just if you can own a gun, it's how you can legally use it.

Texas and many other states have extended versions of the "Stand Your Ground" law that allows property owners to use any means necessary to defend both their life and property. For example, if a criminal is attempting to pry open a window from outside you can legally shoot to kill.

At least a few times a week in the Houston area, homeowners successfully thwart break-ins by giving thugs a bad case of lead poisoning. Although a Grand Jury reviews each incident, the cases are "no billed" (shooter found innocent and no charges filed).

Please note the key to this law is "defending one's property." It does not provide a free pass in questionable "self-defense" cases such as the George Zimmerman incident.

Don't try that in NYC... Texas is an odd state. You can get a concealed carry, or you can open carry a rifle. But you can't open carry a handgun. I figured they stopped you at the state, and if you did not have a gun, they would give you one. :-D

Most of the cases involve using a gun that's already in the house (no carry permit required).

There have been, however, a few cases where someone with a carry permit put it to good use. About three days ago, a guy attempted a carjacking in a busy McDonald's parking lot just off I-45 The car owner thwarted it, albeit with one hell of a detailing job required to remove all the blood stains from the front seat.

Are spouses and children considered property as well then, or are you not allowed to be as harsh when you're defending them?

    Strangely worded law.

Louisiana, (and I think Texas) word it also that deadly force can be used to prevent crimes against others.

    Bold mine.

Would have to research it, but pretty sure castle law extends to property. In LA, the Castle Law extends to when you are in your car. So, I have a mobile castle. :-D
