Hi guys im new to the site, i work as a tech for a small company in kentucky. In the past couple days we have received 4 different machines that run windows XP, and they will not boot up. they load the splash screen then go to a blue screen with a cursor in the middle that willnot move. keyboard is nonresponsive. They will boot to safemode only to do the same thing. Anyone have any clues. We are pretty sure its a new virus. Anyone seen anything like this or have any tips to remove?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

If they do not boot in normal boot mode, safe boot mode, or safe boot mode with command prompt then you will have to work thru your problems in the Software Forum to make the PCs bootable before you can look for malware. That is unless you want to take the hard disk out and slave it in another PC to scan it. Or you could alternatively make a disk like below to scan them.
Another option is to use the below procedure to restore to an older restore point which could help:

Replacing system, software, sam, default, security files from a previous restore point. Repairing the windows installation from the windows cd. running a scan with kaspersky by plugging it into one of our office computers right now.

Then most likely you will be reinstalling from scratch. :(
