    Hello
    xp sp3 up to date
When I right click the mouse, I then click 'send to' and this has worked for years with my flash drives to transport data.
Now it does not function with any of the flash drives.
    I can copy/paste or drag/drop .
What could I do to be able to use this 'send to' function with my flash drives?
    Thank you

Go to C-Documents. Find your folder. Unhide files at tools button. Send To is there. Right click , Create new shortcut, browse to where you want.

    Hello
I am not a tech so if you told me how to fix the problem + I just don't get it I apologize.
My goal is to restore the ability to use the 'send to' method of using the flashdrive to bring my documents from one pc to the other.
So, to use my flash drive to bring my documents from my desktop to my laptop, I right click my documents in the desktop 1st, select 'send to' and choose the flash drive letter recognized by the computer. The data is now in the flash drive.
At the 2nd pc, I find my docs from within the flash drive and 'send to' to install these docs in this 2nd pc.
*This has worked for years even after formatting + reinstalling each o.s.
My question is, not to find a work around, but to correct whatever is preventing this from functioning as it did before, so I can once again use this 'send to' method
    Thank you

    Hi

You have not had a viruses lately have you? just asking a malware can cause this to happen especially if the infected files where on USB removalble drives.

But what you could try is this command and see if it fixes this, click Start > Run and type or copy and paste the bold bit here Regsvr32 /i Shell32.dll and hit enter, should get a conformation message in a xxxxxxxx Shell32.dll succeeded.

    or

Pop to here http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and get the registry fix at line #385 right pane, select "Undo" for the "Disable Send To from the Context Menu - Undo" the UNDO link, once downloaded double click and merge with registry.

    or

Download and run http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html and look for Microsoft Send To Service and make sure its nto set to disabled/Yes, if it is highlight it and click the green icon at top left to enable.

    Halo
Thanx to all and I wanted Halo to know I could and did perform the suggestions except the last. They did not seem to allow me to 'send to' from the flash to the lap(the
    2nd pc).
Re: your last suggestion, I could not find Microsoft 'send to' service. Could you please clarify the last so I can try it?
    Thank You
