Serious Problem! Codecs are killing me

Hello,
I Recently bought a Mega View 588 Mp3 Player with Mpeg4 Playback.

It accepts these video codecs but it has to be a avi file.(says on manual)

Video Format : MPEG4 SP, DivX 3. 11/4/5, WMV V9 , M-JPEG
Audio Format : MP3, WMA V9, WAV

but ive tried Divx video and mpeg 3 sound codec

doesnt work

ive tried Xvid Mpeg 4 and mpeg 3 sound codec and still doesnt work

im not a smart guy on codecs but it keeps on saying "unsupported file"

anyone got any suggested codecs?

do i have to have like same codecs of sound and video, or maybe its the converter,

i used Winavi Video Converter,

please someone help me

that is 2 codecs
how do you use 2 codecs?
and it says i have got it but i dont have a suitable converteR?

 

You might be stuck with the bundled software.
