Serious problems w/ IE -- part one

    Over a months ago I began having serious problems w/ IE, where web pages would take 10-20 minutes to load, if they would even load at all. I was (and still am) unable to access my email (hotmail) on my personal computer. I tried to post to this forum from that computer and I could not.
    When the problems first started I ran all the usual computer maintenance tasks; when those did not help I ran the advanced help from Microsoft for IE, and that did not help either. A friend of mine directed me to your website.
    I followed all the steps in "Read and Run Me First". All processes executed without problems EXCEPT they took forever to run -- about six days total. I will attach two logs to this thread, then reply with the other two.
    I have Windows XP running on a Dell Dimension 4550 that I've had just over 6 years. Again, I cannot access my personal email and I hesitate to pass along here my work email address.

    While the cleaning procedure did remove some minor malware issues, your performance problem is not due to malware. It is due to the below as seen in your logs
    Code:
    Total Physical Memory 256.00 MB 
Available Physical Memory 64.99 MB
    This shows that you have only 256 MB of memory and you need at least 4 times that ( which is 1 GB ) to properly run Windows XP SP3 and the applications you are running. About Feb 7th, you installed Spy Sweeper and this probably was the last straw for your PC. You need to upgrade to at least 1 GB of memory if your old PC can support it.
