Active Directory, Server 2003, only one server box

Just a few files in the same folders were dening access to users who used to have access.

After some poking around I found that under the Security tab after right clicking the file there was only one user with permissions. It was an icon with a question mark followed by a bunch of numbers. Does anyone know what this means or what did this?

I added the administrators group back to the file and the mystery user went away and all the users that should have access to the file reappeared. I'm just wondering if I should be concerned about something more important happening to the server....

    Just a guess...

The only thing I have found so far is in a multiuser environment if you do not prevent users from replicating (a process of copying a dbase so that two or more copies can exhange updates of data or replicated objects an exchange called synchronization) by users with set dbase passwords can and will prevent other users from being able to open the dbase or dbase object that is replicated.

As for the icon and reference numbers the only user that had access may have created a hyperlink to the specific dbase folders and has the option of setting an icon image and the numbers may reference a the hyperlink address and\or subaddress ????
