    hi all,

A little new to networking and burning through an intro to netwroking college class. Have a project to do and was hoping some of you guys might be able to help me on a part of it.

    So uh, here goes.

Asuming the network layout etc is in good function, with 3 major sites; each site with a small off set building. two sites have 4 servers and the third site being the main head quartes having 6 servers. 2 of the servers at the main HQ are dedicating to backing up files and data storage.

My task at the moment is to ensure that we have all hardware necessary to have the 2 servers backing things up in the best way possible, safest, securest, etc. If hardware isnt something to worry about what kind of programs etc would be neccesary?

    My thanks in advance.

i assume youre using win server 03?

just use ntbackup and store the backups on an external hdd... if you need off site backups for disaster recovery or something, then just put your backups on a server at another site or take your external hdd home.

    backups are simple.
