Service Pack 2 Installation, Access is Denied

    Just finished cleaning up friend's system http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=57540

    Now trying to install SP2. Installation starts, appears to run OK, then a window popped up that said Service Pack 2 Installation Access is Denied.
    It then takes you through the Uninstallation Wizard which I did.

    Finally, Service Pack 2 Setup Error
    Service Pack 2 installation did not complete.
    Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work properly.

    Can't find anything about this error at microsoft.com.

    Thoughts?
