Service Pack 2 problems

I got SP2
But now i can't use the internet under XP
I'm forced to use ME if i want to surf

SP2 simply blocked all my net acces .. and i can't get rid of it .. when i want to uninstall it it won't let me
And i also have other programs for visrus scans and spyware removal , or firewalls

How can i configure it ?
How can i get rid of it without drastic actions ?

 

Are you running dual boot pc? Give some details on your rig.
Tryed to uninstall in add & remove programs? If you did that and didnt work, Try to uninstall in safe mode?

You should only run one firewall, if not XP sp2 firewall, disable it before running another.
You should only run one antivirus program?

The best way to run/install SP2 is on fresh install of XP. (no upgarde from ME, Fresh XP)

I install XP & SP2 on more than a dozen pc's (all fresh OS installs) without any problems, some using xp firewall some not.

 

Well i am running MX and ME .. i keep ME as back-up

I installed SP2 and as i sayed it blockd all my net acces .. in XP no net ..in ME full net

So .. all the other "firewalls" i had .. like NAV2005 (witch can block applications) etc.
But i had them BEFORE SP2 .. and i had no problems

since SP2 i got this bugging problem
It's like i reboot my PC under XP , i have net for like 1 minute .. then it cutts off ... just enouth to link to 1 site

Also in that minute it running like i have dial-up

BUT i can use otehr programs after that minute .. like teamspeak
So i guess the SP2 firewall is blocking almost everyting else

And when i try to uninstall it (SP2) i get an error message .. "specific file not found , press ok " and then " SP2 could not be uninstalled "

I wonder if i can unintall it .. withoug drastic mesures ... like installing XP all over again

 

How about try, system restore, should have been auto point set before SP2 install?
