uninterruptible power supply gives error 2481 when trying to start the service.I dont know if this should be set on manual or auto. also had issues with windows installer not started. I used to know where there was a guide to how to set each service. also having issues with high cpu usage. also found Universal Plug and Play Device Host was disabled. Does anyone know where this guide is ? Maybe these issues are related to registry erorrs ? Any tips on fixing ?

thanks, been having a lot of trouble trying to reinstall. It seems someone thinks Ishould have to purchase new software. I might try wiping with Eraser or something before I try again. Any Ideas anyone.??

seemed to have remedied the problem. Funny thing is, that this was causing overheating. I was thinking that was a separate issue. (hardware related) With the cpu running at 100%, did not think to check for source in task mgr. At least is working a lot better now. Reinstalling xp can be a real task, if you dont have some good backup. Still learning by trial and error.
