after using the blackviper guide which is very very usefull i cam across thse services does anyone know what settings they should be on

.net runtime optimization service
ASP.NET stat service
Ati hotkey poller
DCOM server process launcher
httpl SSL
install driver table manager
network provisioning service
security cebtre
windows firewall/internet connection sharing (ICS)
windows user mode driver framework

I'm not on a network, using dialup & this is how mine are set. Pretty sure it is at a default setting as I don't remember making changes to the following>

.net runtime optimization service - Startup Type - Manual

ASP.NET stat service - Startup Type - Manual

Ati hotkey poller - Startup Type - Automatic

install driver table manager - Startup Type - (Don't have that one)

windows user mode driver framework - Startup Type - Automatic

 

The only thing that ATI hotkey poller does is monitor for hotkeys that you have programmed to work with your ATI card. If you haven't, then shut it down completely and save the natural resources........

 

Ahh one more thing to turn off.

 

SmartClose will do most of this for you automatically. No need to stuff around with BlackViper, or others.
