I am attempting to use the IIS bundled with Win XP Pro sp2 to create a picture sharing site for my family via ftp. Unfortunately I have been unable to accomplish this because my IP address is assigned dynamically from the ISP at logon. I figured simply giving the interested family member the IP address each time they wish to get pictures from my ftp site could be accomplished by emailing them a link such as "ftp://###.###.###.##/"

I have tested this with my family and even though I believe I have IIS correctly configured, I haven't had any luck.

I'd appreciate any insights or ideas you may have.

    Thanks millions.

make sure in the FTP properties that you do NOT have anonymous FTP access allowed. Otherwise snoopy people will have their way with your FTP.

Create a generic "familypicture" account on your machine and have them use that to login to the ftp.
