    MotherBoard + Cpu - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2967804&CatId=14

1GB of DDR2 RAM will eventually put 2GB

    Cpu Fan - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1272112&CatId=1588

    VideoCard- http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3128204&CatId=1826

PSU- http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2974673&CatId=1078 is 400 enough for this setup? or should it be more?

I don't think 400 watts will be anywhere near enough, especially if you intend more than one of the beasts to use the SLI bridge.

Looking at the Nvidia specs they are very coy about power requirements, but their tech support does have an email. I should ask them.

I don't know how US$ translates to canadian but I saw $83 US mentioned whilst browsing.

let us know how you get on.

really? because for that video card it says A minimum 300W system power supply

so what are you guys thinking like 500W? or more?

that tiger spec also says minimum 512 RAM, minimum 50MB hard drive space.....

With that minimum Vista might just struggle to write your letter of dis satisfaction to the supplier.

This is a DX10 graphics card 'designed for Vista' and SLI. (Will you only want one?).

Most high end systems are limited by the current demand by their graphics systems. They don't actually consume the extra watts, but 500W + supplies are the only ones that will supply the current demand.

so if i use a 500W im guessing i cant use the 400W case i want right? seems like an obvious answer

O by the way im using windows XP not vista. :p

    EDIT NEW COMP SETUP

    Case- http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3208105&CatId=1845

    MotherBoard + Cpu - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2967804&CatId=14

1GB of DDR2 RAM will eventually put 2GB

    Cpu Fan - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1272112&CatId=1588

    VideoCard- http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3128204&CatId=1826

500W power supply included with case

still need to know if im missing anything cooling wise or just plain missing anything?

*right now cooling wise its gonna be that cpu fan and then the 3 cpu fans included in the case

If the 400w power supply comes with the case, you'd be better off buying another power supply anyway because those "stock" power supplies are generally garbage. I'd go with a quality brand (IMHO Seasonic is good, so is VanTec) and at least 500w or 550w. Look for the amps on the 12v rail. The higher the better. Try to get dual (or triple) 12v rails if you can. Power supplies (and PC parts in general) are victim to "you get what you pay for". The higher the price, the higher the quality (most of the time ;) ). I found it strange that Tiger didn't mention a brand name for the video card. It's an NVidia GPU, but what brand? Asus? XFX? eVGA? Nope! It's something called a "Galaxy" or a "Preturi"; both of which I've never heard of. But that doesn't mean anything. I just found it strange that a name brand wasn't mentioned... it made me wonder, ya know what I mean?

EDIT: I just looked at the case and PSU you linked to. The case comes with a 450w PSU, but like I said above, the 'stock' PSU's are usually crap-ola. The PSU you linked to actually looks pretty good. I've never heard of the brand but so what, right? See if they make a 500-600w PSU.

ok well i will set it up with the current set up below and then change the powersupply when i got it all set up. Since i dont see the harm in using the powersupply included with the case for a short while.

Never skimp on the PSU! Cheap can = major pain in the rear chasing down odd problems, or it could let the magic smoke out of one or more components. The PSU is boring and usually the last thing speced when building a computer. But remember it powers everything in your case...
