So this is what i am tring to do. (see diagram.gif)

Basicly I want to limit the bandwith the certin machines on my network but since my router doesn't have a way to do this I need to setup a machine with NAT enabled on it which is where i,ve been stuck for a couple of days. I don't really know what i am doing so i am probably doing something really stupid but hopefully someone can help me.

    1) First the router(which is a westell veralink see: http://westell.com/content/products/pdf/versalink.pdf) has an an option called single static IP i think that basicly makes on machine on the network have the same ip as the WAN port on the router. I don't know if that was right but the network card that is connected to the router now has the same ip as the wan port. To me that seems like the right thing to do but maybe not.

    2) Secondly both the inside NIC and outside NIC are added to the NAT/firewall box on the windows sevrver (see setup.jpg). The inside card is set to "Private" and the outside card is set to "Public" with NAT enabled.

    3) Thirdly a client machine has the gateway and DNS server set to be the IP of the inside card.

But it doesn't work!! Any clue what i am doing wrong?
