Setup32.exe

My wife tried to install a PC game a while back and it failed. She has no idea what game. No every time I boot up I can a "Cannot find file Setup32.exe file error, please insert installation CD". I have tried all the CD's and deleted all game programs, but no luck.

Any idea how to get rid of this error?

Download a registry cleaner and clean your registry.
If that doesnt work try
run>msconfig>startup
uncheck the useless start up items.

 

The only thing off the top of my head would be to go to msconfig and disable any startup items that you don't really recognize immediately.

You can get to msconfig by: start -> run -> type "msconfig" -> click the "startup" tab. This should display a list of everything that runs when your computer is starting. You can even try disabling things one by one to see if it works. Don't worry, there isn't anything critical here that will kill your pc if it is disabled. Disabling stuff here can make you boot faster. I hope this helps. Sorry if it doesn't - please post your findings.

 

I went to msconfig and systematically turned things off. Found an old remnant of a Corel program.
