Setup88.exe, 441.tmp removal

    my roommate accidently put both these on my comp today. In the lower right is the Red Shield with the X on it and every 10 seconds a bubble pops up from it and says "YOU HAVE A SECURITY PROBLEM" then numerous popups ensue. I'm not sure if this is related to the SETUP88.exe or 441.tmp spyware or not, but regardless I can't remove either of these with spybot - search and destroy, or ad-aware. They don't pick it up. Can someone plz help?! Thanks.
