First time poster,I need help removing several trojans from my laptop! My issues include slow down on start up, white screen/lockup on start up(most scary)... drastically reduced email and online account security...a wierd change in monitor tint... and a slowdown of internet browsing.

Just before posting I downloaded, installed, and ran several anti-malware programs... have uploaded my logs I obtained from following the steps on-site. I made one mistake while doing this, on the first step I belive I took action against some trojans with the roguekiller program...I have 3 logs on my desktop instead of 1, let me know if its a problem! I uploaded the first one.

The whitescreen issue can be bypassed if I hit cntrl-alt-dlt before my desktop appears and after I enter my password to log in to my user. If i'm too late I can return to the blue screen with cntrl-alt-dlt but the lockup is already is progess. It also hasnt happenned since I ran MBAM for the first time after I updated it. so maybe its already resolved IDK.

    responses appreciated !!_!!

    Uninstall this junk: Ask Toolbar

You did not attach the Malware Bytes log. Please do so.

You can rerun Hitman and have it delete ALL that it finds.

Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
When it opens, press the Scan button
Now click the Registry tab and locate these 11 detections:

    • [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\Run : dfifi (rundll32.exe "C:\Users\Connor\AppData\Roaming\dfifi.dll",OpenFileStreamWithFlagsW) -> FOUND

Ask Toolbar <--- Uninstall that junk.

Now more malware problems I trust?

Removed ask toolbar (should I get rid of bing too? I never used either of them).

I have several strange looking folders filled with scary files on my computer left from the scans, should I run the program that cleans them up?

Sorry for posting multiple times, I dont mind if you take several days to reply.
I ran hitman again found some more things. After the reboot I had my fastest startup for some time :D. I havent noticed any system unstability or anything like that, after one earlier restart (the one where before i logged in something ran for a minute) my desktop flashed a few times and my shortcuts took like three minutes to load but the most recent boot was very smooth.

Yes it sounds like all is well again. :)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Thanks for the help, I'l wait a few days before I toggle restore. But for now I think all the issues I was working with are gone thanks to you! You probably extended my lifespan because of the avoided stress haha.
