shell32.dll shows up in scan?

I ran a virus scan the other day and this morning with AVG Free Edition, as I do once or twice a week. The results changed compared to every other scan I've done in recent months. Usually I get the following result, which I was informed on these forums awhile ago, I need not worry about:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\kernel32.dll

However, this time I also see:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll

Both result and status are listed as changed on the scan results. The only thing that has changed on my machine is that I had to disconnect everything for a day, then plug it all back in, meaning all the USB connections, graphic card, power supply etc.

Would the shell32.dll show up on the scan if I did not plus everything back into the exact USB ports they were before? Is this something I should be concerned about and need to look into further? I also ran Ad-Aware and Search & Destroy and those came back clear. Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi

So long as they only show as changed and not infected your fine, this seems to be normal occurance with AVG ( documented on their support forums as normal behaviour ), especially after you have done some Windows updates of late.

To stop them being flagged next time they are updated you can open the AVG Test Center and hit F3 and tell it to accept changes, but I would leave alone, as if for any reson they do get infected then you've allowed those files to be saved.
