Does anybody know how to solve this problem? I don't know how to use these tech forums because this is the first one I've ever join, but it looks like a good to start. I have been having "trojan problems" for some time now. I believe my problems started through P2P Networking, which I have shut down at the present time. Here is my problem: I am unable to get into registry through regedit due to a virus: This is the error message I receive: {C:Windows \system32\regedit.com - The NTVDM has encountered an illegal instruction. CS: 054d IP: 010c OP: c4F606a902}

I have followed the advice from Major Geeks and downloaded all the spyware programs they told me I needed to and proceeded to delete those items on my harddrive in safe mode. The Trend Micro Free Online Scan would not work, but I managed to get a free scan from Symantec Security Check. The result that my computer was clean. Wrong! When I went into safe mode I deleted lots of items the scanner didn't seem to pick up. When I did a scan with Ad-Aware Se, the scanning stopped about 3/4 the way through. I copied the log report that was completed thus far to my clip-board and I found out that I have a worm lodged in the registry. The name of the worm is Windows32\ P2P Worm Alcan.a. When I check into my windows \ systems32 file I am unable to locate it even with all files and folders to be shown.

Does anybody know how to solve this problem? The search that I've done on the internet revealed to me that others are having the same problem, but they seem to be finding help. I usually can solve my own problems, but this ones got me puzzled to say the least.
