    Shockwave keeps crashing on me.
I found some "repair" software online, but with so much screwed up with this computer I am leery about downloads.
Anyone recommend a dependable fix it?

It seems that the Adobe apps have some issues. I haven't run anything requiring Shockwave, but I did download a PDF yesterday for my internet modem. Adobe Reader kept encountering an error and needed to close.

I uninstalled Adobe Reader and installed Sumatra PDF and had no problems with the document afterward.

Skysarge, you do have a lot of problems with your computer. Before you try to fix all these problems, the best thing to do would be to head to the malware section http://forums.majorgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35
    follow this guide http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407
    and post your logs there.
I have a feeling you have some malware in your computer.

I had friends who had malware. MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes reported the computer was clean but it was not.
I ran it through an ESET online scan http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/
and it found 3 things the others had missed.
