should be a law....

i have never been one to believe the government should stick their noses into private affairs, but it seems that companies who manage to sneak spy-ware into computers need to be leashed. not only have i had problems, but i now believe that anyone who owns a computer gets infected.

it must cost countless thousands of dollars to the unsuspecting public in damages to computers. it's ironic that congress was so quick to enact a "do-not-call" law because phone calls were annoying, yet none of them are so willing to enact a law to stop spy ware from being installed on computers....go figure.

at a time when identity theft is at it's highest, one would think that congress or even states for that matter, would be smart enough to step up to the plate and address this issue. or, perhaps some e-company lobbyists are making too much money with spyware being installed into computers. perhaps the elected people lack computer knowledge and don't realize the damage spy ware causes to everyone.

i run winxp pro, and i really like the "restore" option, but to properly clean your computer of any bugs, spy ware, etc, you need to turn "restore" off, thereby losing any good "restore" point...sheesh....like a double edged sword.

i fix computers as a little side thing, and almost every one that ends up in front of me is because it became contaminated.

computers are and should be not only educational, but fun as well. they are part of the world's mainstream communication....probably the best thing that ever happened to humanity.

you got a point spy-ware is getting out of hand i work in computers full time and 90% of the computers we get in has spy-ware, ad-ware and viruses and dailers lol i was on my gfs pc and there infront of me it installed and connected to a pron dialer site and i got a rite slap as she was sat behind me lol but other than keep all our anti-virus/spyware/adware software up to date
