should I dare to use 'flv runner'?

I'm not sure if this is the right board, as it's about the possibility of getting malware, but there don't seem to be any more appropriate ones. Anyway, here's my query:

I like to do artwork with fractal programs such as Apophysis, and there's a site whose members let you share things like color gradients and scripts - it's called DeviantArt.

Well, I was about to download one member's gradients when under 'start download' I noticed 'www.Download.flvrunner.com'. I cautiously clicked the download button, and it got me to another screen that included the announcement 'Free toolbar installs in seconds.' I Googled the 'flvrunner runner toolbar' and found people are having nightmares removing it. But flvrunner seems to be a sort of conduit for the bit of software I want - the color gradients.

I tried installing Sandboxie and downloading the setup program into a sandbox, but when I clicked it to install, it wouldn't (I'd had the idea of getting everything into a sandbox and then just taking out the gradient software).

So, does anyone have any ideas on how I can use this 'flv runner' thing to download stuff without infecting my PC with malware? It's quite a big question for me, because DeviantArt members have lots of software I'd like to try, but it all seems to be linked to this thing.
