Should I have both SUPERAntiSpyware and Malewarebytes Anti-Malware?

I just completed a removal of a malware issue using tools on this site (again) Thank you

Looking at the threads of fixes I frequently see this statement at the end of threads where someone has been assisted in the removal of a threat:

We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.

however I also see in the Sticky for How to Protect yourself from Malware this note just prior to it talking about Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware as paytools

Realtime blocking tools - pay tools and free tools - ONLY USE 1 REALTIME BLOCKER

I currently have the paid version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Do I need or should I purchase the paid version of SUPERAntiSpyware? or is the How to protect yourself from Malware sticky correct and I should only run one of these?
