Should I run the READ & RUN Guide again?

I ran the "READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide" back around Christmas and the pop-ups and things stopped. This lasted for about three weeks until Saturday the pop-ups started back up with a vengence, including porno pop-ups.

I tried to start the guide again but there has been so many pop-ups I can't get anything done and some won't exit out. I read the link below off the compromised system and think I just need to reformat the hard drive instead of dealing with all the stopping and starting to clear the pop-ups. Also, if the viruses came back in three weeks won't they come back again?

I have small children who need the pc to do school stuff and I can't run the risk of them seeing these porno pop-ups.

I posted in the hardware forum, but it was suggested that I post here before reformating. I don't know what to do and need some advice. If reformating is suggested, please give me directions on how to do this correctly.

I'm not an expert, but I have a lot of pc experience.
