show pictures keeps being deselected

    The show pictures option in internet explorer, tools, advanced etc keeps being unchecked.

    I can check the box, view pictures for about 5 mins, then it unchecks again. It is getting very annoying. I have tried checking the registry and all entries seem ok.

    Any ideas

    Which Windows version you using and is it fully upto date?
    Are you the Admin of this PC as in your account being an Admin one?

    Could be a few things, sometimes corrupt entries in the browsers temp folder could cause this so do a bit of cleaning up of Temps and Cookies and use CCLeaner then try setting the setting again.

    Also what security software do you have installed as some like Spybot can block changes in the registry for the browser from sticking so if you have the likes of SPybot installed disable it and set the setting then re-enable it.

    To test if any browser helpers are causing this like toolbars, run IE in its no-addon mode, this is found in Acessories > System Tools and check the View Pictures option is checked and sticks in this no-addons version.

    Try another browser to see if this is caused by something else, Opera or Firefox work fine.
