Does any one know of a way to shutdown and restart mcafee activeshield from a command line?

Is it trying to dump the arp cash and keeping you from logging on to the net

    net start | more

The above will give you a list of all available services that are running on your computer. Once you see mcafee netshield, you should be able to stop it via:

    net stop (service name)

    without the ( )'s

I don't have mcafee, otherwise, I'd give more details.

    Maybe it could be mcshield.
