    Hello
I think there are two distinct side by side issues but am not sure. I was looking though my event viewer and found a few 'side by side' entries. I was using two windows, side by side, while working.
I Googled the term 'side by side' and some users are having trouble with their pc's and getting error nmessages.
Is it possible that their error messages and my, side by side, event viewer entries are not related and event viewer is just reporting that I did in fact open, side by side, windows?
If not, I would persue this further.
    Thank you for listening
    Peter

A Google search on "side by side" yields many results which have nothing to do with computer procedures or techniques. So, we need some clarification. Exactly what are you talking about? And, what version of Windows are you using?

You should have written in your post, and when you Googled, SideBySide, not "side by side". Look at the image you posted; there are no spaces in SideBySide. Searching on SideBySide, or sidebyside, is not going to give you the same results as a search on "side by side". Searching on SideBySide does yield relevant information. >>I appreciate the corrections.
How would you go about attending to this if you had no obvious problems?
I ran SFC which was ok.
I ran my a/v and MBAM scans.
    Would CHKDSK help?

Few Event Viewers are without error reports. Event Viewer is something you consult when you have problems and are trying to track down the cause. Unless your computer is not functioning correctly you shouldn't even be looking at it.

My edit time expired so I attached what I have.
I just read an article by MS that this #33 SidebySide does not harm anything but you can install later distributables if you uninstall the previous ones.

You can install the new ones regardless. I typically remove all the old copies and then install the latest one. There are some applications however e.g. TurboTax that tend to favor the older versions of vcredist and won't open successfully without them.

Not sure what you are asking here.

As my previous post stated, you can install 2010 as well. 2008 and 2005 will still be there.

    >>As my system is stable, I will not act now, but thank you for your referrals.
If I have an isue I will consult the event viewer but not until then.

    >>I did read that the Microsoft Visual C++2005 was cited as a probable cause for the error.

    >>I am really not quualified to act upon this topic so will just thank you.
