silly cable question

    guys quick question , anybody know the correct name of the cable that connects a laptop(hp pavilion dv 4000) which i think has a s-video out slot to a tv which can accecpt scart or phono cables... or is it just called an s video to scart cable.. also is this the only/easiest way of connecting a laptop to a tv
