Simple Video Editing Advice Please

I have a video of a concert that the group wants it simply edited removing some songs and possibly rearranging the order
I first tried VSDC and found it just a bit too complicated. I tried following You Tube tutorials but none seemed to work the way I wanted so I thought to look for a program that would simply cut sections into individual tracks, delete the unwanted ones and join up those wanted ones. No additional bells and whistles to complicate things.

I thought I found the solution with Movavi which seems to do all I want but asks £42 to remove restrictions
I'm only doing it as a favour to the group and will probably not need it again. They wont want to pay so much'

I then tried Windows movie maker. Added the video files which I can watch and mark sections for deletion bit there is no sound and I tried everything to include it but was unsuccessful. I cant edit it properly without sound

Does anyone know of an open source program that's simple to use. I don't mind making a contribution but not as much as £42 for a one time use
My computer isn't so sophisticated either
It's a Compaq with a Pentium G64ST 2.50Ghz with 8.00 GB (7.87 GB usable)
Windows 10 home 64 bit

 

I may have found a solution with Windows Movie Maker but have a problem with Audio codec
Any suggestions?

Hi, I found just what I was looking for, a program that allowed me to make one complete video project without restrictions. From then on I'd have to pay
Problem now is I need to convert the mp4 to vob
All the so called free software I found has it's catches. Either the length is restricted or a watermark is imposed
Is there a program that is really free
I'm not being a cheapskate but its only for this one time use
