what a strange disturbing film that is. just watched it. peculiarly fascinating for so much blood and gore !! tarantino (Sp ?) has a penchant for flicking back and forward across time lines.

 

I rather enjoyed the way he put the film together. I even enjoyed the black and white (with red) aspect.



But then again, I am somewhat warped!

 

Wifey and I have to agree. Watched it last nite -------------- bizarre.

You want to watch Alexander, if you like jumping to and fro to the past.

 

It is a great film...but you absolutely CANNOT credit Tarantino with the concept. Frank Miller specifically has never allowed one of his comics to be done on-screen until he could control how it was done. (Tarantino is listed third at IMDB, as a guest director.)

If you're not familiar with Frank Miller...you need to be!

 

Tarantino didnt have anything to do with it really, he codirected a segment

he was not ready for his comics to be on film yet. .but Rodriguez didn't give up

 

Which was, after all, my point.

 

Once again I have been educated by the members here (thankfully).


I am, simply put, attracted to films that make me pay attention, and keep up, in order to understand what is going on. But likewise, it has to be interseting.
