So, about an hour ago, my computer got infectd with the infamous sirefef.y
there's nothing I can do. It restarts itself after 60 seconds of being logged in. I was going to try a system restore, but my computer has no restore points. I could really use some help on how to get rid of this thing

Thanks. This helps out others that may experience this problem. For future reference, in order to abort the shutdown, open a Command Prompt window and type in shutdown /a

    Attached is fixlist.txt
    • Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST64.exe on your flash drive.

    Now re-enter System Recovery Options.
Run FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (How to attach)

    Now attempt to boot normally.

Now continue with this procedure: How to Remove Trojan:DOS/Alureon.A

Thank you so much! everything is working great now! I tried other websites, but they basically brushed me off because I didn't "follow there guidelines exactly." I mean, how could I when my computer was rebooting every 60 seconds. This website is amazing! thanks again for everything!
