When i went to frys I was goign to get an nvidia 6600gt OC and it said SLI ready on the front, the employee said that it was not compatable with a non-SLI mobo, I don't know if I believe this, why would one 6600gt pci-E not be compatable with a non SLI mobo? I ended up getting a dif brand of the same card but I still think this guy had no idea what he was talking about.
He asked me what my budget was and what type of processor I was looking for, I said $900 and an AMD 64 and he shows me a $1300 P4 PC, wtf? I did end up getting a nice compaq computer though, it has a 3500+ and I upgraded the GPU from ATI xpress 200 to a 6600gt, it plays all my games smoothly.

he was wrong on that for sure. sli ready just means that the card is capable of being used in an sli setup NOT that it HAS to be on an sli board

I may be reading wrong, but if the board does;nt have a pci-e slot the pci-e wont fit. pci card fits pci slots, agp fit agp slots, And PCI-E fit PCI-E slots.
