slow burn cd/dvd in vista

using nero 7,had this prob prev and was solved by unistalling ide controllers the reboot.the one ata says its in dma anyway.this would work for a while then I'd have to do it again .now it won't fix the problem,cd burns 25 minutes dvd close to an hour to rip and an hour to write,the burn is fine just slow.not just nero either dvd shrink as well.tried ashampoo as someone suggested that didn't work.unistalled the hp dvd 1170 no luck,this is an external as my sony vaio dvd broke and was too expensive to repair,thanks for any ideas

 

I uninstalled all the ata channels(3) and it worked for a bit but back to very slow cd and dvd burn.uninstalled the external hp 1170 burner too.now started to get some burn failures as well;below is a nero log if that helps.thanks

 

thanks for the reply runningd vistaservice pack 2 nero 7 ultra enhanced edtion.I have dvd shrink which runs the same speed as well.I also tried a few others same problem,now I'm getting burn failures and even if a cd says it burned I noticed some diginoise on occasion.here is a burn fail log from nero thanks again

 

disable security I've slowe the dl speed as slow as it goes no luck.the links appear dead,I have tried quite a few programs everything burns slow or now sometimes not all
