Slow Changing Web Pages

I hope I'm in the right Forum category.

OS Win. XP/SP2 I have Ad-Aware,PCRescue V 3.0 & I am using Windows Firewall. I keep all of them updated & I run them often. I am also using AntiVir PE Classic,anti virus program. I have cleaned the files & defraged & nothing helps.

Each time I go to something on the Internet ( ie, Major League Baseball, Ebay) or any site that I have to change pages a lot, my pc runs forever and most times I get no results.( The little road runner runs hard but he doesn't get anywhere. ) Another problem I have is with cingular web page. In the past I paid my account on line, then one day it would not let me in. I called cingular & they said they had no problem getting into my account . They closed everything out & said for me to re-register, but it wont let me do that either. Cingular says I must have a setting that needs to be changed.

you might want to check your internet security settings to medium ,then go to advanced click on "just go to most likely site " then apply .0r may want to check your modem drivers see if theres an update . or u could have many start up programs running, might need to unistall and reinstall cingular program.

 

I would suggest cleaning your temporary internet files, i use ccleaner at default settings, even the registry cleaner and have never had a problem, one of the best out there,

What browser are ye using? IE, Firefox, Opera, etc?

Thanks all for your input. Thanks tim@majorgeeks.com for getting me so I could get back in . It seems like cleaning up cookies worked. Time will tell.
Scott Hayes told me I might need to unistall and reinstall cingular program. I thought this was just a web site. Is there something else I dont know about?
