Hi, I am back...you guys were great with fixing my computer after a limewire virus...so now I am trying to fix my mother-in-laws slow computer..its sounds like the fan is running on high whenever the computer is stresses. She had downloaded a lot of games and then it started about a week ago. I did the run and read faq...and tried to clean up the desktop. I didnt mess with the start up programs but I bet there are to many and maybe you can see this for me. I have attached the logs.

Alright I got it to attache, but now i have made some changes like getting rid of a lot of the start ups and I downloaded Opera browser. I should prob rerun all the scans, but I figure if I include them and you dont see malware then its not really an issue. Let me know if you think otherwise.

No major issues. Just the below.

These should have been uninstalled in step 1 of the READ ME:
    Viewpoint Manager (Remove Only)
    Viewpoint Media Player
    Viewpoint Toolbar

Norton may be the major reason for slow down. Notice all the things running from Symantec/Norton. Including LuCallbackProxy.exe running 7 times!

    You can uninstall SUPERAntispyware now.

Also you can have HijackThis permanently fix the below which you don't need to have load everytime the PC starts up.
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_05\bin\jusched.exe"

Also I recommend uninstalling FreeRAM XP. You don't need it as Windows XP does a good job in managing its own memory and thus it is just a waste of resources having FreeRAM XP installed.

The only other items I question are what the below file and then folder are:
    Code:
    2008-03-23 14:41 . 2008-03-23 14:41 4 --a------ C:\WINDOWS\system32\[u]0[/u]AFDEE
    2008-03-16 16:16 . 2008-03-16 16:16 <DIR> d-------- C:\SystemRoot
