My computer is ridiculously slow. I have defragged, cleaned up temporary files, disabled start-up items and still no progress. I remember MajorGeeks and running a registry search a long time ago, I am hoping someone can help.

I run a Dell XPS with Windows 7

I suggest you download, install and run Windows Repair AIO. Follow the instructions carefully and allow all the tests to run. It may take an hour or two.

Have you checked the integrity of your hard drive?

    It may be worth doing.

How old the computer is and the specs? My computer runs much faster after replacing HDD with SSD. it is old TP laptop in 2012.
