slow esata transfers

    hi all,
    im guessing this is a problem with software hope im right

    brand new hp dv7 with usb and esata

    i am only reaching speeds of up to 30Mb/s for usb
    and only hit up to 40Mb/s on the esata.

    looking up specs i believe it should be faster.
    any thoughts? ideas to make it faster?
