Hi, I have a decent computer but for some reason my internet seems to be very slow lately, im sure i dont have any virus. i scanned with adaware ewido spybot search and destroy and norton. Nothing was wrong. I have sbcyahoo Dsl. Im on a Linksys Wireless-G with speedbooster Adapter and using a Linksys G router. For some reason its taking me like 10 minutes to fully download a 1minute video on youtube or other media websites and it takes 40seconds for other. =/ such as this video

    http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=20016

i asked 4 others to at the same time (with similar internet and routers) to watch this video. It took me a total of 9 minutes just to almost finish it because it kept on stopping. While others said theirs was done it a matter of 30 seconds

Is theres some reason for this problem to happen? Please help

also my downloading speed averages from around 5-20 Mbps when it use to go at least 60-100mbps

Can you try using ethernet cable instead of wireless?
    Need to eliminate that possibility...

    well, ok then.
You haven't mentioned about the quality and strength of your wireless connection to the router. Can you check that and see if you have at least "Good" quality and "medium" strength? This is a slight chance but if your pc is at downstairs, you might not be getting full signal...
If you are getting full signal, let's try booting into "Safe Mode with Network" - press F8 at startup. and try to see if your connection gets any better.

    Good luck!

yes i usualy get excellent and great for my connection. Actualy i went on my modem Ip 162.198.0.1 and checked my "downstream" i assume is download speed it says its 704kbps O_O that sounds really really fast. but i never get that kind of speed on speed tests. Is there some sort of limit with a router?

in order to get a comparable bandwidth speed spec, go to http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/
This will tell your bandwidth - down and up & compared to other connections.
However, this will not tell you why your PC has slow connection. Because it will tell your "Bandwidth" at the time. Your slow connection problem seems to be from your PC itself. not the DSL line.
I think it's time to move the computer downstairs to check.
