   Hi all.
   Could someone give me clues as to why wifi differs so greatly between devices?
   My phone shows 46mbps download (yes I know but this is the uk)
   My laptop (Windows 10) shows 11mbps.

   Two possible reasons. Perhaps the laptop is using the 2.4 GHz network and the phone is using the 5 GHz network. The wifi adapter in the laptop might be n and in the phone it might be ac.
   
   You could always buy a USB wifi adapter (ac) with Win 10 drivers and see if the speed increases.

   I disabled 5ghz on the router as devices tend to hog the bandwidth.
   And you could be right regarding the adapters, iPhone uses ac, my laptop is b/g/n.
