I have this problem (more of an annoyance) with menus when I open them up, like when I right click or move my mouse over All Programs in the Start menu, or even the start menu. It usually takes a while to load up. Are there any system settings which I can tweak to make them pop up faster, or is it just a result of a crappy computer?

I am running Windows XP SP2

    Processor: Intel Celeron 2.67Ghz
    Memory: 504MB DDR

Don't know if there are any other relevant specs
    :)

If you haven't performed regular maintenance on your PC, visit this link and follow the suggestions: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=106650 That, and doubling your RAM to 1gb would really help. Memory is really cheap these days; another 512mb is under $40 for DDR400, and under $30 for DDR2-533/667. Running a good and safe registry cleaner is a good idea. Use CCleaner (link is in the maintenance link I posted).

Hmm, I guess the only thing that I don't have in that list is 1 gig of ram. Seeing as how I plan on getting a new computer in the near future, I guess I will just live with this amount of ram for now. Thanks:)
