    Hello,

    This PC has some sort of encryption popup that appears everytime the computer is loaded and a message saying to log into a website. The computer is very slow and non responsive at times. I have ran all logs with the internet disconnected. Thanks

    The log from Mbam is in the wrong format. It's in a text file but it's all xml. Can you rescan with it afresh and attach the latest correct log for me please. (It's all in the instructions thread for running Malware Bytes)

    http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/9659/rktigzy.gif Fix items using RogueKiller.

    Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7/8 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    When it opens, press the Scan button
    Now click the Registry tab and locate these detections:

    • [Suspicious.Path] HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1606980848-1958367476-725345543-1003\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run | Yptuocihdyvois : "C:\Documents and Settings\Holly\Application Data\Ytuxox\tiiso.exe" -> FOUND

    • [PUM.SysRestore] HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore | DisableSR : 1 -> FOUND
    Place a checkmark next to each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
    When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
    Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
    Reboot the machine.

    http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    And now so I can see what remain...

    Run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista, Windows7 or Win8) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

    This is Cryptolocker and recovering all the files is not possible. Sometimes between System Restore and Shadow Volume Copy a few things can be recovered but the only real solution is to cut your losses and reinstall. We don't recommend paying the extortion money as the hackers simply cannot be trusted. See the below links:

    Thanks for the information. If I format the drive and install a new fresh copy of XP, Can I backup the remaining files that were not affected by Cryptolocker? Is there a way to be certain that i dont transfer any infected files from Cryptolocker over to the new fresh o/s? Thanks

    You're welcome.
    The encrypted file will not reinfect you. You just will not be able to use any of them. There is no easy way to know right now which ones have already been encrypted. This infection is know to affect files with any of the below file extensions:

    3fr, accdb, ai, arw, bay, cdr, cer, cr2, crt, crw, dbf, dcr, der, dng, doc, docm, docx, dwg, dxf, dxg, eps, erf, indd, jpe, jpg, kdc, mdb, mdf, mef, mrw, nef, nrw, odb, odm, odp, ods, odt, orf, p12, p7b, p7c, pdd, pef, pem, pfx, ppt, pptm, pptx, psd, pst, ptx, r3d, raf, raw, rtf, rw2, rwl, srf, srw, wb2, wpd, wps, xlk, xls, xlsb, xlsm, xlsx
