Slow PC??

    Hello, Im working on my dads computer. He thinks the internet is slow and bogging down (hi speed) due to a virus/malware issue. I think its a connection issue but offered to run through the Read Me and clean it for him. A few issues, Root Repeal stalled and would not run, then MGtools would extract and then not run? Below are my logs. Thanks so much

    Did you follow the instructions for using MGtools on Vista systems?
    • Did you disable UAC?
    • Did you reboot after disabling UAC?
    • Did you right click and Run As Administrator?
    Since your other logs are clean, there is a high probability that you are not having malware problems.
    You may want to try uninstalling the outdated NOD32 that is installed and also uninstall ZoneAlarm just as a test to see what happens. Reinstall protection after seeing what the effect is. If you find the above were the cause of the problem, try other protection like mentioned in the below. I advise NOT USING AVG as it is a massive resource hog that will tremendously slow down bootup and everything else you do.
