Hello again and here's hoping I'm in the right forum section.

Lately my comp developed an annoying habit of taking long time to reboot.
By that I mean, I'm staring at "Windows is shutting down..." for at least 30 seconds if not longer. First I thought it was ZA but the problem persist even after I shut it down and tried rebooting.

Again, the problem started recently without any major changes in hardware or software. Any advice or suggestions?

Thanks in advance to all replies,
    aKa

You didn't mention your OS. Do you run AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy? Do you have a regristry cleaner installed? I've always found that my computers shut down and boot up faster ( at least it seems like it - never actually timed performance ) after I clean up my hard drive. :)

Have you checked to see how many processes that you have running at startup, as it may be that you have a lot of programs/processes that Windows has to shut down before rebooting?
