I have a relatives computer, that has been giving her problems, such as cutting off as she surf the net, taking forever to load on start-up, pop-ups, spyware, adware... basiclly you name it and it's probably on her computer.

Actually not seeing a lot. However there are a few things to do.

First, in your add/remove program list, what is this:
Anti-Spyware --> I suspect it is a rogue program so if you don't know, uninstall it.

While you are there, please uninstall:
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

Now use windows explorer to try to find this:
c:\windows\System32\l?gonui.exe --the ? could be a letter or number. If you find it, right click and choose properties. Tell me what is there, including the date it was installed.

Then run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    * C:\MGlogs.zip

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

I'm not sure which program you're talking about in the add/remove program list:

I uninstalled the Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2.

I disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs and ran MGtools\analyse.exe.

I selected everything and fixed, except :
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Vvpe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\l?gonui.exe; which was not listed on the HJT list.

I copied and paste the Bold text to notepad and saved to desktop as fixME.reg as selected all files and receive a success message.

    The c:\windows\System32\l?gonui.exe file was created:
    Tuesday, September 03, 2002, 11:39:46 AM
    File Version: 6.0.2900.5512
    LOGONUI.EXE

    It's running better than before.

    Thank you

It is just Pest Patrol which is part of the AT&T Internet Security package that is installed. And this is a bigger problem since both it and AVG are installed. As you can see from the logs, Authentium AV & AVG are both running. The AT&T package should be uninstalled immediately if you plan on keeping AVG.

Your logs are clean. However, you need to do as Chaslang suggested!. Also please keep your temp folders clean. Do this by running CCleaner periodically.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real-time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore ato create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Thanks, I will delete AT&T and keep AVG.
