slow startup windows vista

    hi all i am experiencing really slow startup on windows vista up until yesterday it started up quickly about 90secs
    computer spec is amd athlon 64x2 4200 2gig ddr2 ram 128 graphics card
    any ideas what could be slowing startup down

    While malware could cause a change in PC performance, more frequently issues are due to new software or hardware being installed or updated. Did id you install or update any software just before this happened? What about adding any new hardware to your PC?
