Slow startup

when i start my pc and select the user and enters the desktop(or before), it slows down, and will take around 5mins to load the connection and antivirus and be usable(i can move the mouse, etc but the pc responds late).

What do you have for start up (when you turn on your computer programs load) which ones?

What were the last things you did before "it got slow start up"?

What kind of antivirus/spyware/firewall what kind of programs do you have on ti?

Also to many things added to a computer can conflict and some antivirus programs can cause slow starts due to them loading/starting.

When was last time you defrag your computer?

Is your computer clean any issues other then slow? Pop ups any random sites popping up?

-im not pretty sure when and what. but most of it are common apps like google earth, ps cs4, etc.

-i have kaspersky IS 2010, and ccleaner

When was last time you defrag your computer?
-i just reformatted this a month ago so i guess theres no need for defragmenting.

Is your computer clean any issues other then slow? Pop ups any random sites popping up?
-no suspicious popups or anything.

*also when i checked the properties of My Computer, my pc freezes.

What or how did you check your Startup list?
Download and run WinPatrol. Right click on the "Scotty" dog icon then choose "Display Startup info". What shows from this program.

How much usage does your machine get? Sometimes 1 time a month is not enough.

 

ive used msconfig command on run and viewed the startup items.
i tried to install winpatrol and saw the same exes.

i dont understand this question clearly. i use my pc daily.

 

Have seen as much as 18% fragmentation after a fresh reinstall, before getting the updates and adding defenses.

have you done any maintenance on the pc? disk check? clean up files/folders? (disk cleanup or ccleaner?) defragment? clean registry entries? (ccleaner?) defragment again from safe mode?
