I don't want to bother anyone with a question that has already been asked a million times, so I've been doing some searching and reading here in the forums to try to find a fix for my slow computer.

It seems that the starting point, after scanning for malware, which I've done, is to uninstall any unused programs. Every time I get to this point, I get frustrated and give up - I have no idea what is needed and what I can toss. Someone here posted a link to a site that lists all programs in alphabetical order, then gives a description of what the program is used for. Even with this awesome list I'm not positive about what to get rid of.

Would it be too much of a pain in the rear for someone to walk me through this?

    Thanks!:)

    Thanks!

    I'm really trying here:-o

I downloaded WinSnap, took a picture of my startup menu from CCleaner, but now I'm not sure what to do - I thought it copied to my clipboard? I don't get a Paste option when I right click here in the Reply box.

    Thanks again.....
