Small AVG 7 personal promblem

ok heres the deal.
We have AVG 7 Personal (free)

And it says my email scanner isnt fully funtional which isnt a big deal i just want to know why its happening

see it basically scans outlook right? well we dont use outlook or any software based email client... we just web mail. so is that why it says not funnly functional? because we dont use/have set up outlook?

 

Have you tried activating it?

As long as it's not active it will say it isn't fully functional.
I also use AVG 7.0 Free

If you don't use an e-mail service, like outlook, it won't scan your mail. Mine won't scan my hotmail.

As long as you don't need it leave it deactivated. You'll still end up a grey icon, but as long as everything else is working you should be ok.

You might be able to set outlook express or another e-mail download service to work as a POP3 with your current e-mail server and then AVG's email scanner will scan the e-mails as you download them.

I've been having the same problem. Everyday I have to "activate" it. I use Outlook Express 6. I've used AVG before, without any of this. Maybe a glitch in the latest version? I dunno?
