I've been getting rid of spyware programs and now when I open a browser they are only an inch square, then I have to double click the top to get them to open to full screen. I use Windows XP Home. Any clues? This is irritating to say the least.

thats certainly interesting. likely it's not so much IE, but windows remembering the position of IE and opening the windows as such. Not a complete solution, but a workaround until someone finds one:
Create a shortcut to IE, right click, choose properties. Bring down the "run" drop down box and choose "maximized" You will have to do this for any shortcut you use. Note that the native IE shortcut will take you to the internet connection properties if you try this, sorry, can't be done on that one.
