Also I've bad bad experiences with Best Buy in the past but I still shop with them for stuff like when my router died and had to get a new one.

Ok, got the new (correct) drive... going to attempt to install it in a bit... anything I need to know about getting the old one out?

 

I got the new drive in, but getting these panels back on is a trick! This part shouldn't be so hard!

 

I'm very sorry for triple-posting, but I want to make sure I post all the info I have. I've installed the hard drive and the OS, but I can't connect to the internet with it. It says that there are no wireless network adapters installed/configured. However, when I look it up in Device Manager, the wireless adapter is there and it says that the best available drivers are installed. Perhaps I should post about this in another section--let me know if it doesn't belong here.

 

Did you install with the factory restore disk or a retail copy of windows? If you did with a retail copy of windows post in the Drivers with a everest report of your laptop to get the drivers.

 

I used the original factory restore disc.
